Ingredients

  1. 50 gmsDates deseeded
  2. 2Dry red chillies
  3. 1Green chilli finely chopped
  4. 1/2 tbspGinger grated
  5. 1small bunch Curry leaves
  6. 2 tbspGrated coconut
  7. 2 tbspCoriander leaves
  8. 3-4 tspRed chilli powder
  9. 1 tbspOil
  10. 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  11. 1 pinchHing
  12. 1/4 tspRoasted jeera powder
  13. as per taste Salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan and add punch phutana.

    Once seeds crackle, add dry red chilli, green chilli, grated ginger and curry leaves.

    Now add the chopped tomatoes, cover the lid and let it cook for 5 minutes or till tomatoes become soft.

    Now add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, jeera powder, hing, salt and saute for 5 mins in low flame.

    Add the grated coconut, dates, sugar and 1/2 cup water and stir well for 5 mins.

    Switch off the flame and add the coriander leaves.
