Assemble all your ingredients

Put sugar, flour, 2tbs cooking oil, salt and egg in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly until well combined

Add water, yeast and vanilla essence, mix for 10 minutes to form a dough

Leave it to rest for 15 minutes, then place it on a floured surface

Roll out the dough and divide into desired shapes, I use a glass and bottle top

Place it on a tray and cover with a cling film, let it rest for 30-60 minutes

Heat the cooking oil and deep fry till golden brown

Remove it from the oil and place on a basin line with paper towels to cool

Serve and enjoy
