Mac and Cheese is a Classic dish of the Americans, but we Indians have adapted it really well. Macaroni cooked in white sauce with cheese and herbs makes this dish irresistible! I have taken the classic and made it into a two three bite snack by putting them into bread cups. This dish is a great appetizer and can get the party started!

Steps
- 1
Filling~
In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil. To this add ½ tbspn Maida. Saute it for half a minute. - 2
To this add finely chopped garlic and mix well. Now add 1 cup milk. Bring it to a boil.
- 3
Now add the Macaroni (Elbow Macaroni) and reduce the flame. Keep stiring it occasionally.
- 4
As the Macaroni starts to swell the milk too gets reduced. Add 1 cup milk at this stage and continue to cook the Macaroni until it gets completely cooked.
- 5
This step depends on the Macaronis age. If Macaroni packet is an old stock then it might take more time to cook. So at this stage add ½ to 1 cup water. You can skip this step entirely if the Macaroni has cooked well using only 2 cups milk.
- 6
Now add salt to taste, mixed herbs and chilli flakes. Give this a mix.
- 7
Add green chillies and capsicum. Mix well. Turn off the flame.
- 8
Add grated cheese and give it a mix.
- 9
Preparing the Bread Cups~
Cut the bread slices into round shapes using a katori or cookie cutter. - 10
Place them on a rolling board and flatten them slightly with a rolling pin.
- 11
Brush oil nicely on the muffin tray. Place the bread slices into the tray and in a preheated oven bake it for 180°C for 6 minutes.
- 12
Remove the half done cups and now fill the cups with mac and cheese. Bake them again for 7 to 8 minutes at 180° C.
- 13
Sprinkle some mixed herbs and chilli flakes.
- 14
Enjoy Baked Mac and Cups with a cup of Coffee.
