Steps
- 1
Gather all ingredients.
- 2
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- 3
Use a frozen pie crust, or place pie crust in pan and pinch the crust. Place in freezer until ready to bake.
- 4
Put cream cheese in freezer with pie crust while preparing remaining items.
- 5
Dice and cook bacon until crisp, or desired doneness. Drain extra grease on a paper towel.
- 6
Grate cheese, if needed.
- 7
Wash, then remove seeds and stems from jalapenos. Dice fairly small.
- 8
Crack eggs on a flat surface. Add to medium sized mixing bowl. Beat well. Whisk in cream or half and half, salt, onion powder, and pepper.
- 9
Get pie crust and cream cheese from freezer. Dice cream cheese and place evenly around bottom of pie crust. Sprinkle bacon, cheddar, and jalapenos evenly in layers around crust.
- 10
Gently pour in egg/cream mixture.
- 11
Bake for 15 minutes, reduce temperature to 350, and bake for another 30 minutes or until completely set (minimum temp in center to 160 degrees for safety).
