Ingredients

  14. 1 1/2 cupswater (360 milliliters)

    Gather all the ingredients.

    Separate the egg whites from the yolks.

    Beat the yolks with half of the sugar and the vanilla extract until thick and pale. Set aside.

    Beat the egg whites with the remaining sugar until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the yolk mixture into the whites, alternating with the flour, finishing with the flour. Mix carefully, then pour the batter into a greased and floured baking pan.

    Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes.

    While the cake is baking, prepare the syrup. In a saucepan, combine the milk, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, then set aside.

    For the filling, heat the water and sugar in a saucepan. Slice the peaches into wedges and add them along with the cinnamon stick. Once it comes to a boil, let it cook for a few more minutes until it thickens. Set aside.
