An innovative twist given by me to the plain Namak Paare loved by many of us Indians at Shaam Ki Chai using Barley Flour or Jau in this version. Crispy and super crunchy, these are a treat to the tastebuds. simple yet a flavourful and a healthy snack on any day especially during the rainy evenings at tea-time. Absolutely easy and hassle free snack idea for everyone on any given day. The best thing about them is that they can be stored in airtight containers for later use. They stay good upto a Month and more. So it's good to make at free time and use it.
Made easily with such a wonderful and healthy ingredients, it's pretty much amazing. I have incorporated Black Seeds too in this particular version along with the regular Carom Seeds or Ajwain. Looks delightful and tastes equally great. These are a perfect accompaniment that can be enjoyed with your daily Tea or Coffee.
Happy Snacking Everyone!

Steps
- 1
Mix all the ingredients mentioned and make a stiff dough using water as needed. Rest it covered for at least 30 minutes. And after resting time, if needed use little water and knead again. Wait for 5 minutes before proceeding with the rolling. Standing time is important for lovely Namak Paare.
- 2
Divide the dough into as many balls as you wish, preferably 3 are recommended. Roll it into a thin roti as big as possible. Cut into thin diamond shaped strips and deep fry on a medium high heat until light golden and crisp. And do not hurry in frying. The Oil should be hot and these should be done on a low to medium high heat only.
- 3
Serve these crispy Namak Paare at tea-time to your loved ones and watch them disappear in no time.
