These are dried Celery Leaves done at home under the fan. Though these are sun dried too, i did choose this option. And not only that, these can be done even in an oven but one needs to be extra careful about that.
It's practically very easy. Wash and leave them to dry up a little in a colander. Just pluck them all from the bunch, wash and spread on a plate or a tray and leave under the fan for 2-3 days. They are fully dried in two to three days. That's it. As simple as that. For me this was much easier.

These dried Homemade Celery Leaves are made into a smooth powder absolutely perfect for using in many a dishes. It becomes a way lot easier this way. In places where Celery is not available throughout the year, this becomes very handy.
It's a perfect example of easy-to-use life hacks. This powder can be used on Spreads, Sauces, Sandwiches, Pizzas, Breads, Salads etc. It can be used in Soups, stocks, stir fries as well either whole if they are available fresh near you or can follow this method of mine to store them for a long time in your pantry. These Celery Leaves are absolutely nutritious, delicious and packed with an intense flavour. A Pesto made with these leaves is also a treat.

Enjoy No Cooking with Zeen!

Steps

No Cook Recipe
  1. 1

Spread all the leaves after almost drying up in the colander and nil of any water traces, spread them in a wide plate or a tray. I kept it indoors and allowed them to dry. Though there is enough sunlight at my place, I preferred this way because the leaves are so light and would be difficult to dry them in the open outside the house. And it worked just right for me.

  2. 2

And I ground these dried leaves to a smooth powder. That's it. As simple and easy as that.

  3. 3

Store this powder in an airtight container for months together. This is an easy and a fool proof method to store them for a long long time. Whenever you need to use it, just add or sprinkle to whip up your culinary expertise. Enjoy!

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
