Assemble ingredients for gravy

Boil milk, switch off flame then add lemon juice and keep stirring. Within few minutes milk is curdled and Chena is formed and green water / Whey is visible. Keep rest for 10 minutes and then drain off excess water. Chena is ready.

Mash boiled raw banana, then add Chena + salt + red chilli powder + garam masala + ginger paste and mix well.

Heat oil and start dropping the prepared Tikkis and fry till golden brown.

Flip and fry the other side till golden brown.

Koftas are done and keep aside.

In moderately heated pan add oil, add cumin seeds + bay leaf and allow to crackle. Add green chilli + chopped tomato and sauté for 1 minute. Tomato turns mushy.

Add all spices (except garam masala powder) + salt + 3 tbsp water and sauté till spices turn aromatic and oil is seen on surface. Add water and give rolling boil for 6-7 times.

Then add all the koftas and cook for 3 minutes under high flame, then add garam masala + sugar and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add ghee and mix nicely.

Now kofta curry is ready.

Serve with steamed rice / roti / paratha.
