Easy Basque Burnt Cheesecake Recipe🍰

Today I made a simple cheesecake that is the opposite of what you would imagine the perfect cheesecake to be.
Overly dark on the top, no biscuit or sponge base, and without the use of a water bath in the baking process. It's as simple as a cheesecake could get.
I had a small obsession with this cake ever since I laid eyes on it. Visually it stole my heart.

Steps

1. In a container, put 300 g of cream cheese
2. Add 100g Sugar (½ cup)
3. Add 1 Tbsp of lemon zest
4. Mix well
5. Add 2 Eggs
6. Mix well
7. Add 2 Tbsp lemon juice
8. Mix well
9. Sift 50g Cornstarch (¼ cup + 3 tbsp)
10. Mix well
11. In a mold, put parchment paper
12. Pour the mixture
13. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 ° C / 338 ° F for 40-50 minutes
14. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate 1-2 hours
