Ingredients

15 minutes
Makes a generous amount.
  1. 4 cupssemolina (about 640 grams)
  2. 1 cupsugar (about 200 grams)
  3. 1 cupdry milk powder (about 100 grams)
  4. 2 teaspoonsbaking powder (about 8 grams)
  5. 1 cupwater (about 240 ml)

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Mix the dry ingredients together.

  2. 2

    Add the water and knead well until the mixture is sticky and holds together.

  3. 3

    Spread the mixture in a baking pan greased with tahini, cut into squares, and top with pistachios or almonds.

  4. 4

    Bake in the oven until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Remove from the oven and pour cold prepared sugar syrup over the top.
