Steps

First wash fish with haldi powder and salt. Twice or thrice till the dust particular of goes off. Drain the water. Then marinate the fish with haldi powder, salt, mustard oil and lemon juice. Mix.it well. Keep aside for 1/2 an hrs. Grind 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped tomato, 1" ginger, 1 tsp cumin seeds and 1/2 tsp mustard oil. Blend it into fine paste.

Heat mustard oil in a Kadai. Shallow fry the fish in slow flame till it is light brown in color. Once it is done. Transfer to a plate. In the same oil. Take another kadai. Heat mustard oil. Fry cumin seeds let it crackle. Then add the paste. Saute it for few minutes.

Add the left over Masala water. Cook till the raw smell of Masala goes off.. Add 1 cup water boil it for few minutes.

Add fried fish. Till it is gravy. Then garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Transfer to a serving bowl.

Garnish with with chopped coriander leaves. Immediately serve with steam rice and dal.
