What is this?! Just a little extra effort makes a huge difference!! You’ll end up with a rich, flavorful Shin Ramyun broth that you’ll want to drink to the last drop ♡
About this recipe:
When I first tried Shin Ramyun, I felt like something was missing, so I experimented with a few things (lol).
I usually make this for lunch on weekends when I don’t feel like cooking anything complicated (*ФωФ).

About this recipe:
When I first tried Shin Ramyun, I felt like something was missing, so I experimented with a few things (lol).
I usually make this for lunch on weekends when I don’t feel like cooking anything complicated (*ФωФ).
Steps
- 1
Familiar Shin Ramyun.
With just one extra step, you can make it 100 times tastier! - 2
The instructions on the package are good, but adding just a little extra makes it dramatically better!
- 3
In a pot, add 1 7/8 cups water (450 ml) and 1 teaspoon soy sauce, then bring to a boil.
(This is 100 ml less water than the package suggests.)
- 4
Once boiling, add the dried vegetable mix, soup powder, and then the noodles.
- 5
Loosen the noodles as they cook and set a timer for 4 minutes.
(This is 30 seconds less than the package instructions.)
- 6
After 4 minutes, add 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil and a beaten egg, pouring it in a circular motion.
- 7
Once the egg is cooked, add your toppings—chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds—and it’s ready to serve ♡
Just this makes a huge difference!!
- 8
If one package isn’t enough for you:
Add cooked rice to the leftover soup to make a delicious rice porridge (ojiya) ♡
- 9
Some people have commented that their soup disappears!
If you leave the water boiling for too long at the start, it will reduce.
- 10
If you think you might leave it boiling, cover the pot while bringing it to a boil. Once you add the noodles, remove the lid.
