Banana Stem Fries are a treat to our tastebuds. These are fried to perfection and then tossed in some selected spices. You will love it's flavour and texture. These are great for a snack. Also a best alternative for a healthy Brunch too. These can be baked as well.
Banana Stem is a diuretic and hence helps in detoxification. Not only for Kidney stones, it is absolutely beneficial for Anaemia, Diabetes, Urinary tract infections, weight regulation etc.
It also helps in constipation and significantly reduces weight because it is rich in Fiber. And also in Potassium and Vitamin B6 just like the Fruit itself. It is cold in nature and hence recommended in tropical regions. Potassium in it also helps regulate the Blood pressure levels reducing the risk of hypertension and eventually promoting overall Cardiovascular health.

Steps

20-25 minutes
  1. 1

Peel the outer layers of the stem until the time you are not able to peel any more. Discard the outer hard covers that are not one or two but more than that. Keep on removing those hard covers until you find the tender part of it.
Take this inner tender part of the stem. Cut it into discs. You will observe that thread like fiber starts sticking to the knife. Using your fingers, discard the thread that comes in between the discs.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
