Ingredients

8 hours
5 people
  • 1 bagwhite beans or navy beans
  • 1thick ham steak
  • 3thick slices of bacon
  • 3stocks of celery
  • 2small yellow onions
  • 1 canAny broth or boullion you chose. I used (powdered chicken bullion generously)
  • 5 dashesthyme
  • 2garlic cloves or use garlic powder
  • 3 dashesbasil
  • Add water just below an inch to the top

    Rinse your beans in a collandar before cooking you want to pick the rocks out and chipped beans.

  2. 2

    Mix everything together and cook on low for 8 hours, you may need to taste test and add more broth to your liking. Service with cornbread or dinner rolls.
