Today is Valentine's Day. My sister wanted to make these for her friends, and I asked her to teach me so I could make them for my boyfriend.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line the baking pan with parchment paper.

Melt the butter with 1 cup of chocolate chips until smooth.

Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, and mix well with a spoon.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing with a spoon after each addition.

Add the vanilla extract and mix.

In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Gently fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture using a spoon.

Fold in 1/4 cup of chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into the pan and sprinkle with more chocolate chips to decorate.

Bake for 30 minutes for fudgy brownies. Let cool before removing from the pan and cutting.
