Apple pickle!

A crunchy sweet n spicy pickle to kindle up your appetite.....
I ended up with a batch of red apples which had turned sour, and came up with this pickle idea. If you can get green apples instead, that would be better, as they are more crispy and complement the flavor with the texture.

Steps
- 1
Heat up pan, and add 1-2 tsp oil. When oil starts fuming take pan off heat.
- 2
Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, asafoetida powder, pepper powder, curry leaves and salt.
- 3
Add the chopped apples and mix well. Make sure you don't chop them into too tiny pieces, as they would end up getting mashed ultimately, which is a NO-NO!
- 4
Put the pan back on heat, on low flame.
- 5
Sprinkle the crushed fenugreek seeds powder over the apples, and mix well.
- 6
Cover with a lid and let it cook for 1-2 mins. Immediately take the pan off heat again, as we don't want the apples to get cooked and mushy, and loose the crispness.
- 7
Once cooled, bottle it up in an air tight container. Use it up within a week.
