A very popular, mildly spicy, crispy teatime snacks. It is basically a north Indian recipe. For school going children, it can be served as midtime snacks.
METHI MATHRI - FENUGREEK CRISPIES
A very popular, mildly spicy, crispy teatime snacks. It is basically a north Indian recipe. For school going children, it can be served as midtime snacks.
Steps

In a mixing bowl, rub salt and 1 tbsp ghee together.

Add flour into the ghee and smear ghee to the flour. It should hold the shape in your palm and release the shape.

Add room temperature water and knead the tight dough. Cover and keep for 15 minutes.

Knead the dough again and make 3 equal sized balls.

Roll one ball into a not too thick or not two thin roti. Cut and remove sides. Cut into thin strips.

Heat oil in a frying pan on medium flame and fry the mathri strips till golden color. It will take 2 to 3 minutes depending upon the thickness of the frypan.

Cool mathri and store in a airtight container. Enjoy this crispy snacks with tea or as snack anytime.
Tips
Rub the fat nicely to the flour.
