Steps
- 1
Set an oven rack 4 to 6 inches from the broiler element and preheat the broiler on high, or set your toaster oven to broil. Line a small baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- 2
Add the tuna to a medium bowl and use a fork to flake it. Add the cottage cheese, dill, green onions, and mustard. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Transfer the tuna salad to the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle evenly with the cheese. Place the baking sheet under the broiler and broil until the cheese is fully melted, 3 to 4 minutes.
- 3
Meanwhile, place the tortilla chips in a shallow serving bowl or plate. Use a spatula to transfer the tuna and melted cheese mixture over the tortilla chips. Serve immediately.
- 4
This tuna salad is best eaten immediately, but you can store leftovers before broiling, without the cheddar cheese, in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
