David's Salsa

This is a salsa recipe. I tried other salsa recipes and did not find any that matched my taste buds. I experimented for a while and hit on a recipe that my friends and family ask for every time we have Mexican food or even hamburgers.
David's Salsa
This is a salsa recipe. I tried other salsa recipes and did not find any that matched my taste buds. I experimented for a while and hit on a recipe that my friends and family ask for every time we have Mexican food or even hamburgers.
Steps
- 1
Put the tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, sugar, salt and lime juice in a blender and pulse until well mixed
- 2
Finely chop the onions and the jalapeños (remove the seeds from the jalapeños, unless you like it really hot)
- 3
Place the chopped onions and jalapeños in a large mixing bowl and add the contents of the blender. Stir it all together (this allows you to taste the salsa and make any needed adjustments to the seasonings. Once you reach the desired taste, cover and place in the refrigerator overnight or for at least a couple of hours to allow the ingredients to intermingle. Then, serve with tortilla chips.
Tips
I think what makes this salsa better is not running the onions and jalapeños through the blender. It has a chunkier, heartier feel and taste when eating.
