The Easiest Homemade Chocolate Candies 🍫

Sometimes, all you need to make delicious homemade sweets is chocolate, your favorite nuts, and a little dried fruit! These chocolate candies are incredibly easy to make, require no special molds, and can be customized with whatever toppings you love.
I especially enjoy the combination of chocolate with dates and dried cherries, but walnuts and dried pineapple are delicious too. These little treats are perfect with coffee or tea, for sharing with friends, or as a small homemade gift.

Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to 70°C (160°F).
- 2
Break the chocolate bars into individual squares. If each bar has 8 squares, you will have 16 chocolate bases.
- 3
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the chocolate squares with a little space between them.
Top 4 chocolate squares with one walnut half each, the next 4 with 2 dried cherries each, another 4 with one pitted date half each, and the remaining 4 with 3 small pieces of dried pineapple each. - 4
Place the tray in the preheated oven for 5–7 minutes. The chocolate should soften, but it should not melt completely and spread out. The exact time may vary depending on your oven.
- 5
Remove the tray and gently press the toppings into the softened chocolate with your finger so they stay in place.
- 6
Let the candies cool completely and set. To speed things up, you can refrigerate them for about 1 hour.
Tips
Don't overheat the chocolate — you only want it soft enough for the toppings to stick. Store the finished candies in the refrigerator, especially in warm weather.
Which topping would you choose: walnuts, dried cherries, dates, or pineapple? 😊
