Pancakes

Pancakes are like fluffy crepes. You can find special syrup (maple syrup) in stores to pour over them. Otherwise, a little honey with cinnamon will do the trick. They make a very tasty and nutritious breakfast.
Of course, you can accompany them with whatever you like, such as Nutella, jams, tahini, or even something savory like cheese or ham.
They can be made with all types of flour, but I recommend strong flour because I think it makes them very fluffy!
Other secrets: You can add ingredients to this batter and bake them. For example, you can add cheese or bacon to the batter and make savory pancakes with filling. In the Netherlands, they do it this way and you get a whole meal.

Steps
- 1
Lightly beat the milk with the egg and butter. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt, and add them to the first mixture, stirring just until the flour is moistened.
- 2
Lightly butter a small pan and pour in a portion of the batter. I usually use 2 tablespoons, but it depends on the size of the pancake you want. Don't spread it thin like a crepe; it should have some thickness.
- 3
Let it cook until bubbles form on the surface (it takes 1-2 minutes at most). Lower the heat after the second pancake to prevent burning.
- 4
Flip it over and leave it for a little while. You'll see it flips very easily.
- 5
You can make several at once in a pan.
- 6
Our pancakes are ready. You can serve them with special syrup (maple syrup) or with anything else you like.
