This recipe has been in the family for Years. I have to make this every Christmas and thanksgiving. I've made for birthdays upon request. Its so juicy, tasty and sweet. Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 350. Follow directions on cake mix and bake in a rectangular baking pan.
- 2
Rinse strawberries and cut up in small pieces. Rinse and leave in bowl add sugar put in fridge to chill. If yours looks syrupy then you did it right if strawberries taste really sweet your doing good.
- 3
Once cake is done and has cooled down make vanilla pudding as directed on box.
- 4
When the cake is fully done and cooled off enough, cut cake in half cutting long ways which will give you 2 pieces. Take the top half of the cake and coat the bottom of your dish add your vanilla pudding, cool whip then strawberries in that exact order. Then repeat the whole process starting with the cake, vanilla, cool whip and strawberries. The reason mine is circular is because of the serving dish I put it in. Hope you enjoy it and you love it. Be sure to let me know how you like it.
