Ingredients

  1. 1 cupmoong Dal soaked
  2. 1onion chopped
  3. 1tomato chopped
  4. 1 teaspoonginger garlic paste
  5. to tastesalt
  6. 1 teaspoonred chilli powder
  7. 1 teaspoongaram masala powder
  8. 1 teaspoonturmeric powder
  9. 1 tablespooncoriander powder
  10. 1 tablespoonkasuri methi
  11. 1 teaspooncumin seeds
  12. 3 tablespoonscooking oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in deep wok and splutter cumin seeds. Add onion and saute till the colour change.
    Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for minutes.

  2. 2

    Add tomato, salt and all spices, mix well, add little water in mixture and cook till the oil start floating all over masala.

  3. 3

    Add soaked dal in mixture with little water and dried fenugreek, now cover the lid and cook for 15 minutes on low flame in between keep sautéing.

  4. 4

    Serve hot with chapati.
