Preheat oneness to 400°F

Cream together butter, shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar, the eggs and the vanilla. Blend in the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.

Shape dough by rounded spoonfuls into balls.

Mix together the 2 tablespoons of sugar and the cinnamon. Roll balls of dough in the mixture. Place two inches apart on un greased baking sheets.

Bake 8-10 minutes, or until set but not too hard. Remove immediately from baking sheets.

To help prevent flat cookies make sure that your baking soda and cream of tartar are fresh. Also, use large eggs, not extra large or dough may spread too much.
