  1. Noodle layer
  2. 3 1/3 cupelbow macaroni
  3. 4 tbspbutter
  4. 4 tbspflour
  5. 1 tbspsalt
  6. 1 1/2 tspwhite pepper
  7. 5 tspmustard powder
  8. 3 1/2 cupmilk
  9. 8 dashTabasco sauce
  10. 5 cupsharp grated cheddar cheese
  11. Topping
  12. 2 tbspbutter, melted
  13. 1/2 cupdry bread crumbs
  14. 4 tsppaprika

  1. 1

    Cook macaroni as directed on package.

  2. 2

    Pour cooked macaroni into 3 qt.
    baking dish.

  3. 3

    Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat; blend in flour, salt, pepper and mustard.
    Add milk and Tabasco, cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until sauce is thick and smooth.
    Remove sauce from heat; stir in cheese until melted.

  4. 4

    Combine sauce with cooked macaroni.

  5. 5

    Mix together melted butter, crumbs and paprika.

  6. 6

    Sprinkle crumbs over macaroni.

  7. 7

    Bake at 350°F 25-30 minutes.
