pour water into saucepan, add elderberry, cinnamon, and cloves

bring to boil, then cover and reduce to simmer for 45 minutes to an hour, until liquid is reduced by half. remove from heat and let cool enough to be handled

pour through strainer into glass container. Let cool to lukewarm.

stir in honey till all combined. pour into jar and store in refrigerator
