5 ozUnsweetened baking chocolate
1/2 lbUnsalted butter, softened
1 3/4 cupLight brown sugar, packed
5 eachEggs
1 1/2 tspVanilla extract
1 cupFlour (use 3/4 cup for fudgier brownies)
1 cup(as needed) Semisweet chocolate chips, optional

Grease a 9x13 baking pan. Preheat oven to 350°F

Melt the baking chocolate

Cream the butter and sugar

Add eggs and vanilla, one at a time

With motor running, drizzle in melted chocolate. After all chocolate is added, beat for a minute.

Fold in flour and optional add ins.

Bake 20-25 minutes.
