Ingredients

  1. 5 ozUnsweetened baking chocolate
  2. 1/2 lbUnsalted butter, softened
  3. 1 3/4 cupLight brown sugar, packed
  4. 5 eachEggs
  5. 1 1/2 tspVanilla extract
  6. 1 cupFlour (use 3/4 cup for fudgier brownies)
  7. 1 cup(as needed) Semisweet chocolate chips, optional

Steps

  1. 1

    Grease a 9x13 baking pan. Preheat oven to 350°F

  2. 2

    Melt the baking chocolate

  3. 3

    Cream the butter and sugar

  4. 4

    Add eggs and vanilla, one at a time

  5. 5

    With motor running, drizzle in melted chocolate. After all chocolate is added, beat for a minute.

  6. 6

    Fold in flour and optional add ins.

  7. 7

    Bake 20-25 minutes.
