Fried Golden Chanterelle Mushrooms

We are at a RV campground and my husband found these mushrooms in the timberland. They are very expensive mushrooms so we were happy to have run across them. He picked twenty pounds in two hours. LOL.

Steps
- 1
Preheat skillet to 350°F or until grease is hot
- 2
Pour oil into electric skillet or frying pan
- 3
Add seasoning to flour
- 4
Scramble eggs (you can add a little seasoning to eggs as well)
- 5
Rinse mushrooms and pat dry, cut off long stems if needed
- 6
Dip each mushroom separately, first in egg mixture, then flour mixture. Place in hot skillet, leaving a little space between each mushroom. Face down first as shown in picture.
- 7
Fry for 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown
- 8
Place cooked pieces on dry paper towel to absorb any grease
- 9
Salt to taste if needed again. I like to season with seasoning salt at the end.
