Cream sugar, egg yolks, flour,cocoa and salt

Add milk and cook in double boiler until thick

Remove from heat, cool and drop in butter. Add vanilla and mix

Pour pudding mixture into 9 inch pie crust

For meringue, beat egg whites with electric mixer until frothy

Add 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar and beat until holds soft peaks

Add 2 tablespoons sugar and beat until hold stiff peaks

Spread meringue over pie and chill
