Spicy chicken wings

Chicken wings are very tasty and versatile. I wanted to make sweet and spicy chicken wings, then when I got into it, I had so much more to cook ( I was baking pastries and meal prepping for weekdays) and I was kinda lazy so I decided to shorten the process. The result was a delight! Let me know how it goes ☺

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 12chicken wings
  2. 6 clovesgarlic
  3. 1 tablespoondried rosemary
  4. 1 tablespoonextra virgin olive oil
  5. 4 tablespoonsapple cider vinegar
  6. 1/ 2 tablespoon of Cayenne pepper
  7. 1/2 tablespoonpaprika
  8. 1 tablespoonroyco
  9. 1 tablespoonchicken masala
  10. 1 tablespoontomato paste

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Clean your chicken and place in a container. Add the marinade ingredients and mix up, then allow to chill in the fridge for at least 6 hours. The longer you marinate the stronger the flavour will be. To make the marinade, mix the olive oil, Apple cider vinegar, rosemary and finely ground garlic.

  2. 2

Once the marination is done, pour the contents of the container into a Pan and boil till the checken wings are tender and cooked through

  3. 3

Once done, flash fry the wings until browned. Since they are cooked, this takes about 2 minutes. Set aside.

  4. 4

Mix the seasoning spices in a container and mix them till they form a paste.

  5. 5

For the sauce, use a little hot water, put in the tomato paste and spice blend paste, then simmer on low heat till it thickens. Once done, remove from heat then put in your chicken wings. Make sure they are evenly coated. Let it sit for a while to infuse the flavours.

  6. 6

Garnish with parsley leaves and serve.

  7. 7

NB: We like our spicy foods really spicy, so I added a green pepper and two red chillies, fried in little oil before I put in the tomato paste and spices. But this isn't necessary. Next time I'll edit this to include the sweetener. Hope you enjoy it.
