In a pot over the stove, bring the milk and dates to a boil, then remove from heat. Add the vanilla and let it sit for 10 minutes until the dates are very soft and blend well with the cake mixture later.

In a bowl, mix the oats, flour, baking powder, and sugar.

Gradually add the milk while whisking with a hand whisk.

Add the oil and continue whisking until the mixture is smooth.

Pour the cake mixture into a mold and garnish with oats and seeds as desired. Bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes.

Let it cool, then serve.
