Ingredients

  1. 4 slicebread
  2. 1 cupsugar
  3. 2 cupwater
  4. 1 cupclarified butter or desi ghee
  5. 1 cuprose petal
  6. 2 tspcardamom powder
  7. 1 ltrfull fat milk
  8. 1 cupfresh cream
  9. 3 tbspsugar
  10. 1/2 cupfinely chopped dry fruits
  11. 10-12saffron strands
  12. 1 tsprose water

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat a pan. Add sugar and water. Stirr continuously till sugar get dissolve completely. Add 1 tsp cardamom powder, 3-4 strands saffron, 6-7 rose petal crushed into it and cook for 2 minute. Switch off the flame and keep aside.

    In a separate pan, put desi ghee and heat it. Cut the bread into half diagonally and fry them into hot ghee from both side till golden.

    Put all slice of bread into sugar syrup and cover it. Rest for 30 minute or so.

  4. 4

    Now prepare rabri, by adding milk in a pan and heat it. And keep it on slow flame to get thicken.

    Then add sugar, cream, saffron, rose petal{chopped}, rose water, cardamom, dry fruits. Cook for some more minute to get the desired consistency.

    Now it's time for presentation.

  7. 7

    Arrange the soaked bread piece in ur plate. Layer it with prepared rabri. Then sprinkle some more dry fruits to get some extra richness.

    Now ur rosy shahi tukda is ready.
