In cooker, heat 1tsp ghee, add 1tsp jeera to it. Let it splutter. Add onion and cook till translucent.

Add tomatoes and cook till soft and mushy. Add masalas to it and cook till you can see oil/ghee at sides.

Add dal and 2cups of water. Put salt as per taste and give 4-5whistles.

Open the cooker and check the consistency. Add more water and give a boil if required.

Now start assembling the pakwan. Take papdis in a bowl, crush slightly.

Add dal to it. Top it with green chutney, tamrind chutney, chopped onion.

Garnish with nylon sev and serve hot.
