Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1 Ltrfull fat milk
  2. 50 gmRice
  3. 2 tspvanilla custard powder
  4. 1/2 cupcondensed milk or sugar (or as per sweetness)
  5. 1/2 tspcardamom powder
  6. Few saffron strings (optional)
  7. Some nuts - cashews, almonds,pista, raisins and chirongi

Steps

  1. 1

    First wash and soak rice in enough water for atleast half an hour then crush with fingers and keep aside.

    Heat milk in a heavy bottomed pan or nonstick pan.bring it up to a boil.

  3. 3

    Add soaked/crushed rice, cardamom powder and saffron.stir well and cook until little thick in consistency.

  4. 4

    Add 2 tbsp cold milk in custard powder mix well,there should be any lumps.add custard mixture in kheer and cook until you get desired consistency of kheer.

  5. 5

    Add condensed milk/sugar and nuts.Stir for a min and switch off the flame.

  6. 6

    Delicious Custard flavor Rice kheer is ready to serve.
