Kebabs
Great for an evening teatime snack. Yummy, fluffy and delicious 😋
Steps
- 1
Season and boil the mince meat, then set aside.
- 2
In a pan, add 1 tbsp oil over low heat, saute onions, garlic, ginger and coriander.
- 3
In a small bowl, add water and deep the bread, then squeeze out all the water from the bread
- 4
In a separate bowl, mash the boiled potatoes
- 5
Now it's time to mix. In a bowl add the mince meat, then add the mashed potatoes, the soaked bread, the onion and coriander mixture and all the dry spices plus some salt to taste
- 6
Give it a good mix until everything is well incorporated
- 7
Using oiled hands, scoop some of the mixture and shape them as you please.
- 8
Put enough oil in a wok or frying pan, set it over medium heat and let it heat up really well.
- 9
Coat the kebabs lightly first in flour then in eggs.
- 10
Then fry them for about four minutes
- 11
Remove from oil, coat again with eggs then refry for about 2 minutes
- 12
Remove from the oil, coat again in the eggs then refry for about 3 minutes or until you get a nice golden color. Remove from oil, drain off excess oil then serve.
- 13
Note: we coat in the eggs severally so that we can achieve that nice fluffy coat. Enjoy with your favorite dip over evening tea. Bon Appétit.
