Clean the mushrooms by removing the stems and cut them into small pieces.

Heat the oil in a pan and add the mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they soften. (If you’re watching your diet, use coconut oil.)

Add the remaining ingredients and stir constantly over medium-low heat until the mushrooms are well cooked down.

Lightly toast the pita breads.

Spread BBQ sauce on the pita, then add the mushrooms (I prefer a slightly spicy BBQ sauce).

Top with yogurt sauce, finely chopped cabbage and lettuce, and sliced tomato (add extra BBQ sauce if you like).
