Ingredients

  1. 5 Brown bread slices cut into small square sized pieces
  2. 1.5 tablespoonsButter
  3. 1 finely choppedOnion big sized
  4. 1Tomato big sized, ripe, finely chopped
  5. to tasteSalt
  6. 1/2 teaspoonGinger garlic paste
  7. 1/4 teaspoonTurmeric powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoonRed Chilli Powder
  9. 1/4 teaspoonGaram Masala powder
  10. 1/4 teaspoonChaat Masala / dry mango powder
  11. 1 teaspoonKasuri methi / dry Fenugreek leaves
  12. 3 tablespoonsCilantros finely chopped
  13. 1/2 teaspoonLime juice (optional)
  14. 3 tablespoonsWater to sprinkle

Steps

12 minutes
  1. 1

    Melt a tablespoon of butter in a pan.
    Add one big sized onion finely chopped. Add 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste. Sauté well.

    Add one ripe big sized finely chopped tomato. Sauté till tomatoes turn glossy and soft.

    Add salt, 1/4 turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder, 1/4 chaat masala,1/4 garammasala.

    Sprinkle little water. Cover the pan. Allow masala to cook completely till it releases butter.
    At this stage, add 1 teaspoon Kasuri methi. Stir and cook for 3 minutes.

    Add bread pieces, cut into small squares. 5 brown bread slices are used.

    Mix all together so that every bread piece is coated well with masala. Slow roast for 3 minutes.

    Slow roast under medium heat. Add remaining butter. Mix. Garnish with finely chopped cilantros.

    Serve hot with ketchup / garlic mayonnaise. Enjoy.
