Carissa carandas is considered a type of herbal fruit. The fruit is small, red, and resembles cherry tomatoes. When ripe, it has a sweet and smooth taste, but if unripe, it is very sour and astringent. It is high in iron and vitamin C. When bitten, it releases a sticky, astringent sap. Today, we'll blend it with red syrup. Follow along!
