Ran out of buttercream, so before making the cake, I made the buttercream first 😁 It smells great, is soft, sturdy, and not overpowering, just perfect 👍

Steps
- 1
Make the simple syrup by cooking until the sugar dissolves and boils, then set aside to cool to room temperature.
- 2
Beat the white shortening with a mixer on high speed until it becomes light and fluffy, about 10 minutes.
- 3
Add the simple syrup and mix until combined, then add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla, mixing until fully incorporated, then turn off the mixer.
- 4
The buttercream is ready to use.
- 5
Store in a sealed container and refrigerate; it lasts for over a month. Enjoy!
