Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 250 gramsGrated bottlegourd
  2. 1 cupBesan
  3. as per tasteSalt
  4. 1 tspJeera
  5. 1 pinchHing
  6. 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  7. as requiredRed chilli powder
  8. 1Onion finely chopped
  9. 2Green chillies finely chopped
  10. as requiredOil for deep frying
  11. 1Boiled potato

Steps

  1. 1

    Squeeze out all the water from grated lauki. Mash the potato and mix. Add all dry ingredients. Mash well. Do not add water.

  2. 2

    Shape the mixture into small balls of equal size. Gently tap to flatten.

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a pan. Deep fry the pakode until done on both sides. Serve with sauce and tea.
