    dried beans • rice (about 200 grams) • oil (about 30 ml) • onion (white or red, either is fine) • Salt, to taste • chicken bouillon cube (or 1 tablespoon if using powder) • Tortilla chips, as needed (you can cut tortillas into strips and fry them, or use chopped warm tortillas if you prefer) • Queso fresco or Oaxaca cheese, to taste • Mexican crema, to taste • Hard-boiled eggs, to taste (optional)
