oh dear, did you bake them a little bit longer? I have always used this recipe and not had the strong taste of soda, it would be difficult to say why yours do.

I never cook before this so may be my oven heat is to high can you tell me which heat I use I mean uper heat lower heat or both heat

I use the upper one only at 180° and bake the nankhatai in a preheated oven. And also for the baking soda, did you use the measuring spoon or just a normal teaspoon?

Ah ok, those spoons don't work well, because they don't give right measurements
