I'm a mother of 3 wonderful children, one of which has serious food allergies. The recipes I post are made specifically with my son in mind so we can all enjoy the same family meals together and he so isn't left out of any occasion.

I tried cactus earlier this week and was keen to have it again. I wasn't sure if the orange juice was meant for boiling the cactus in but mine was brined anyway so just needed a quick fry off. I added a garlic cream sauce as I thought the dish needed a little something extra but maybe if I'd used the orange juice it would've been fine -
This recipe is hard! If the dough is too loose, the milk balls fall apart in the pan. Too dense and they come out rock hard. I really liked the flavour but just couldn't get the dough to the right consistency even after 3 attempts. They deflated easily the spoon I used to turn them kept cutting through them the first 2 times. The final pic is the ones that were too dense to eat :(
