Paprika Baked Chicken Wings

This was really nice. Kids should even like it as is. I would like more heat, a lot more, since my smoky paprika isn't spicy. I only used a few shakes of the hot sauce. Maybe some hot cayenne if you like heat. These were crispy, and pretty tasty. Easy overall, and my wings were decent sized, 1 hour was perfect from cooking timing. If your wings are huge or smaller adjust time up or down as appropriate.

Ingredients

10 mins
4 servings
  1. wings
  2. 4 lbChicken wings
  3. marinade
  4. 3 tsppaprika (smoky, sweet, what have you)
  5. 4 tbspvegetable oil (higher heat type, olive, peanut, canola)
  6. 1 tbspgarlic powder
  7. salt (I used 1/2 tsp)
  8. ground black pepper (I used 1/2 tsp)
  9. hot sauce (optional)

Cooking Instructions

10 mins
  1. 1

Preheat oven to 375 F, I find hotter had a tendency to burn dried chili spices.

  2. 2

Use foil and or oil a baking sheet large enough to hold all the wings

  3. 3

Mix all ingredients (except wings) in a bowl large enough to hold and mix all the wings

  4. 4

Add wings to bowl. Mix very well (I just use both hands), even out any clumps of the spices on the wings.

  5. 5

Spread wings out on baking sheet

  6. 6

It's better to put the thick skin side up so it is crispy.

  7. 7

Bake for 1 hour, but adjust for the size of your wings. Mine were large, but not huge.

  8. 8

    Remove and serve

My wife is disabled, she has M.S. And she finds it hard to cook from her wheelchair. I like a variety of foods, but hate tomatoes, so you don't see too many of my recipes with tomatoes on them. Also both of us have type II diabetes, so high carb and sweet is usually not on the menu either. We have one married daughter, and one that now lives in the Seattle area. We live in Texas, USA with our two dogs.Sorry I have not posted in awhile. Been taking chemo and radiation. and it has taken some out of me. Doctor says it seems to be working, so there is that.
