The Absolutely Best Way To Peel Grapefruit

This is the method my sweetie came up with since he wants to eat cleanly peeled grapefruit every day.
Every piece is cleanly peeled and delicious.
In Step 4, if you remove the white pith as cleanly as possible, the rest is very easy.
In Step 6, if you gently split the fruit in half so as not to crush the segments, you can peel them very cleanly.
In Step 8, cutting into the corners is the key to removing the membranes. Recipe by Otsumami

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Make a cross cut on top of the grapefruit.
- 2
Remove the peel from the cuts.
- 3
The peel is completely removed.
- 4
Take off the white pith (remove it diligently here.)
- 5
All the white pith is gone.
- 6
Gently split the fruit in half so that the segments don't get crushed. (The key is not to try to separate each segment individually.)
- 7
Make a cut with a knife into the center of a segment membrane.
- 8
The key is to cut properly into the corners of the membrane. (If possible, cut into the other side as well).
- 9
Peel off the membrane carefully from the cut.
- 10
If you take off the white pith completely in Step 4, you can easily peel off the membrane here.
- 11
Insert your thumb between the segment and the membrane.
- 12
Gently take off the segment with the whole thumb of your other hand.
- 13
It comes off amazingly cleanly!
- 14
Repeat Steps 7 to 13.
- 15
Keep working until the end without trying to separate the individual segments.
- 16
Use the cleanly peeled segments as pretty decorations on sweets. See.

Simple, Quick and Neat Removal of Grape Seeds & Skins Simple, Quick and Neat Removal of Grape Seeds & Skins
I don't want to take the time to peel and de-seed grapes. If the seed gets inadvertently left in the grape, scratch it out with a straw. If the straw is too long, the seed will get stuck in it and won't shoot out like a rocket, so cutting it down to 15 cm is the most convenient. I wanted to make the bothersome job of peeling chestnuts easier. I experimented with the pressure cooker until I settled on this recipe. Easy Kanten Whole Grapefruit Jelly Easy Kanten Whole Grapefruit Jelly
I made these jellies so that they're easy to handle for bringing to potluck parties. I also aimed for a quick-set jelly that uses the fruit skin as the container. So, those were the reasons behind putting this recipe together. Using kanten allows these jellies to set in room temperature, which means you can store them in the fridge after they're slightly set, taking less space. This satisfying grapefruit jelly has a really fruity and refreshing texture since it consists of half pulp and half juice. Please adjust the amount of sugar and honey to the sourness of your grapefruit. Mine was slightly sour, so I added a bit more honey, but, it's really up to you. Recipe by Smuchi cookpad.japan -
Grapefruit Jam Grapefruit Jam
When I see fruit in season, I just can't resist the urge to turn it into jam.Add it to yogurt, or spread on bread.I love the sweet smell in the kitchen when I'm making jam, too.Since both the peel and membranes are removed, not a lot of scum will come out. Be sure keep skimming when it starts to simmer.I don't like the bitterness of marmalade so I leave the peel out, but if you do like that bitter flavor, it's probably better to add the peel for a bitter flavor accent. An Easy and Fuss-Free Way to Peel Potatoes An Easy and Fuss-Free Way to Peel Potatoes
I felt it was wasteful using a peeler or knife when peeling potatoes since the flesh is also removed along with the peel.Soak the potatoes in lukewarm water as soon as you remove them from the freezer (otherwise the skin will not peel right off). While rubbing off the skin, keep them soaked in tepid or lukewarm water (the water will be absorbed between the flesh and the skin, making the skin easy to remove). Freezing the potatoes will break down the cells of the potato, making the flavors absorb easily when stewing ☆ Recipe by Akeguri cookpad.japan
