Boiled Pork with Korean Style Red Chili & Vinegar Miso Sauce Boiled Pork with Korean Style Red Chili & Vinegar Miso Sauce
This is a standard dish for my family during the summer. Both my son and daughter like to eat refreshing dishes, but mostly fish. We only use meat about 1-2 times in one week. We eat meat as a main dish several times a month but since thinly sliced boiled pork is light and refreshing, I mostly make that and just change the sauce. If the pork is boiled on high heat, it will become tough, so absolutely remember to lower the heat and cook the pork patiently. If you drain the water from the pork, the fatty parts will harden and leave a bad feeling in your mouth. It's annoying, but if you use some care, even cheap meat can be moist and tender when boiled. Meat-Wrapped Tofu With Oyster Sauce and Mayonnaise Meat-Wrapped Tofu With Oyster Sauce and Mayonnaise
I came up with this recipe when I was trying to make a substantial and filling dish using cheap thinly cut pork. When you wrap the meat around the filling, it's ok if the filling peeks out a bit.The cheese will melt out a little, but it will get nice and crispy, which is delicious in and of itself. The oyster sauce-mayonnaise combination burns easily, so make sure to lower the heat before you coat the meat rolls in it. For 8 pieces. Recipe by emakatu cookpad.japan -

Suan Ni Bai Rou (Boiled Sliced Pork with Garlic Sauce) Suan Ni Bai Rou (Boiled Sliced Pork with Garlic Sauce)
Suan Ni Bai Rou can be translated loosely as "white meat with grated garlic"; suan ni means grated garlic and bai rou is white meat. Don't be fooled by how complex and fancy this dish is usually presented. It's actually very simple to make. The key is to boil the pork with rice wine, ginger, and star anise until tender and juicy with no porky smell. The main ingredient is pork belly, and served with a few veggie options such as cucumber and tomato. The choice of meat cut for the sliced pork with garlic sauce is usually pork belly. If you want to use something leaner, you can use pork shoulder. However, keep in mind that the meat texture will be firmer after being boiled than the pork belly. With the pork belly, you can even slice off the skin before boiling if you don't like it. I found that the skin adds texture to the meat.Youtube video: https://youtu.be/z1anMjuuhlE Julie - Mrs. Lin's Kitchen -
Stir-Fried Pork and Onion with Ginger and Ponzu Sauce Stir-Fried Pork and Onion with Ginger and Ponzu Sauce
My husband absolutely loves ponzu sauce. His golden rule is that [ponzu × ginger = refreshingly delicious]. So, I borrowed his "almighty combination" to put this recipe together.-Please adjust the amount of ponzu sauce and ginger to your liking.-Add more onion to make it more filling.-I add mushrooms or other vegetables when I don't have lots of pork or when I'm cutting down on expenses.-Mincing the ginger makes it more spicy. This will certainly suit grown ups. For 1 small serving for a bento. Recipe by Marrietty cookpad.japan -
Seared Ahi Tuna Steak with Japanese Tataki Sauce | Tuna Tataki Seared Ahi Tuna Steak with Japanese Tataki Sauce | Tuna Tataki
Tataki is Japanese cooking which takes raw meat or fish and sear in a pan to form a thin cooked layer of meat on the outside and raw still inside. In order to make tuna tataki, you will need to use sashimi-grade tuna preferably ahi or yellowfin. Then, you will sear the fish between 10 to 30 seconds. How long to sear the tuna will depend on its thickness. After you sear the tuna and let it cool, you will drizzle citrus-based sauce, which tataki sauce, on the top and serve. youtu.be/6XfgAMoe_Gs Julie - Mrs. Lin's Kitchen -

Cabbage Rolls Simmered in Tomato Sauce Cabbage Rolls Simmered in Tomato Sauce
I thought of this while making a recipe using ketchup. My family always uses ketchup for rolled cabbages; ketchup goes really well with rolled cabbage! I was confident about this, so I tried using ketchup inside as well as outside.Make sure not to rip the cabbage leaves when tearing them from the cabbage head. You can still wrap them up if you tear one by stacking up 2 leaves. The meat that you stuff inside might feel loose, but you roll it up in cabbage, so it's alright! The cabbage rolls remain juicy even the next day . Crispy Lotus Roots and Pork Belly Rice Bowl with Yakiniku Sauce Crispy Lotus Roots and Pork Belly Rice Bowl with Yakiniku Sauce
I like sliced and crispy-fried lotus roots.By adding the meat I made an easy rice bowl.Use very little sesame oil (because the pork belly releases a lot of fat). You can use doubanjiang paste instead of gochujang paste or use only yakiniku sauce. Recipe by bobitin cookpad.japan -
Chicken and Cabbage Simmered in Tomato Sauce Chicken and Cabbage Simmered in Tomato Sauce
I had a lot of cabbage that I'd bought or gotten from people to use up so I came up with this recipe. Since then it's become a family favorite.Because you dust the chicken with flour before browning and then simmering it the umami is held inside and the meat won't fall apart. By sprinkling it with some sake for cooking, the gaminess of the chicken is gone and it becomes very tender. Adjust the amount of salt and water depending on how much cabbage you use. I use about 1/2 a tomato can of water. Recipe by Makichimu cookpad.japan -
