Mutton Rogan Josh is a famous dish from Kashmir, India

🥘🌮Rogan Josh with Homemade Tandoori Roti🌮🥘
Rogan josh is one of my most favorites at pakistani restaurants until I discovered its restaurant version. These days, I make them very often as the whole family has fallen in love with this dish. This tastes so good and is an exact replica of its restaurant version, maybe even better. Now this is one of my go-to recipes for special occasions and get-togethers. A great crowd pleaser when you’re short on time. And this even makes a simple weeknight dinner when paired with roti, naan, or steamed rice. You can even freeze this curry for busy days and just reheat before serving.#Fakeaway #homemade #restaurantStyle #homechef#dinner #mainmeal #lunchtime #familydinner #Pakistanicuisine #Indiancuisine

Sig's Simple Rogan Josh
Decided not to do traditional roast lamb shoulder. Traditionally one would use ghee for all of this, I used the fat from the lamb rendered down to brown the meat and also to give extra flavour #lunchideas #stayingathome #myfavouriterecipes #lamb

Murgh rogan josh
Rogan Josh is a traditional Kashmiri curry with lamb pieces cooked in a thin, spicy curry flavoured with fennel seeds and dried ginger powder. Instead of lamb I am using chicken, hence Murgh Rogan Josh. “Rogan” means “oil” in Persian, and “Josh” means “heat” and “murgh” means “chicken.”Most restaurants make onion tomato gravy, add chicken mutton, and pass it off as a Rogan Josh. It is not even remotely close to the thin, dry ginger and fennel-flavoured curry with rogan (oil) floating on top. Don’t get intimidated; this is how it should be… having a thin layer of oil floating on top.Roghan josh is characterised by its deep red colour, which comes from the use of Kashmiri chilies and a unique Kashmiri spice called “Ratanjot”. If you cannot source Ratanjot, then you can skip it.This curry can be made with or without onion and garlic. The Kashmiri Pandits make it without onion and garlic, and the Kashmiri Muslims use them in their preparation. I am made it without the onion and garlic.Murgh rogan josh, is defined by its deeply flavoured and well spiced gravy and packs a wonderful punch of flavour! This is a perfect curry to make up ahead of time. You can refrigerate after cooking for 2-3 days and it will be at its very best about a day after initially cooking. To reheat add it to a medium (20cm) saucepan, add a lid and slowly bring it up to temperature

Palak chicken
Palak Chicken is a weekend friendly, healthy and hearty dish that is deeply comforting.Palak (spinach) chicken is Pakistani version of the French Chicken Florentine. This enticing smothered Palak Chicken recipe is made with tender chicken that is seared until golden brown and then covered with a tomato sauce. When the chicken is cooked till tender, it is covered with blanched, pureed spinach. Served with some fresh cream, it’s so satisfyingly delicious! Instead of cream, this curry is absolutely beautiful served with a dollop of butter added to the top just before serving. The dish goes great with both roti and rice. I find that roti is the most popular option but my husband like to have it with paratha. And so do I!This recipe, with a beautiful fragrance and flavour thanks to the combination of whole spices, is a total must-try!For video recipe see the link below:https://youtu.be/-yLUZWZETKY

Lebanese style Mutton meat with veggies
My brother-in-law cooked us this dish for linch today. When he cooks, he doesn’t like anyone to jump in “for help”, so I was just standing there watching and taking photos so I can share the recipe here 😊He’s very picky when it comes to meat that he always goes to the same butcher that he trusts only. He tells him how he wants to cook it and the butcher tells him which cut is best for that dish! Here we used loin. You can use any parts from the back of the sheep which tends to be more tender than the other parts.
