Do you have a jiko? You can use a jiko instead of the oven. Make sure your charcoal is hot. Then instead of arranging the buns in a pan you arrange in a greased sufuria. I'll upload the process tomorrow and you can check how I do it

You can eliminate the egg when kneading the flour, then brush the top with oil or melted butter/margarine right before putting them into the oven.
