Regarding the sugar, does C means a cup? But 3-4 cups of sugar sounds too much though.

Yes. C refers to cup. Thank you for bringing it up. Its actually 3 cup (2 cups white sugar + 1 cup dark brown sugar) for 2kg -3 kg chicken. I should have left a note; Sugar can be reduced to 1 or 2 cup for a less sweet satay. Malaysian satays uses no salt and caramelized in sugar. It’s mostly sweet and great when pair with hot & creamy peanut sauce. hope this helps ☺️
